Those who attend Harvard Business School and the like are schooled in the arts of deception. The Wall Street Journal did a wonderful article regarding just such lessons in an MBA program. The eleventh commandment: "thou shall not get caught" is the only one such as the Bushes and the Cheneys assiduously adhere and even with that, they get caught. Question is: Will they caught in time?
Cheney is about to be caught if the Supreme Court tells him to release the notes of his meetings with energy czars and how what went on in those meetings effected decisions made by this administration regarding energy regulations and such. The Enron crowd is at the top of the list of attendees. We know what happened there. The Court plans to hand down its decision in July. Mr. Scalia and Cheney went on a duck shoot together a few months back and while this case was either headed to the Court or already there. Scalia says he can't be bought. Even if the fully-paid-for trip were not an outright bribe, people tend to favor those they know and like; guys you shoot ducks and drink beer with. Whatever went on, it doesn't look! And Halliburton's sweet deals is another thorn in the side. They are one of the few companies that do what they do, question is: how did they get and then further develop the exclusive? Cheney has been wending his way in and out of the public/private sector for a long time. He's a brilliant man. He is as brilliant as Bush is stupid. That thought should keep everyone awake at night.
Something needs to awaken the hard core Republicans out of their deep sleep. The writings are on the wall, the information is out there. Denial! They are all in denial.
